At the end of the day, making things just feels good. That is all.
Got a few parts to touch up … but I finished another new piece this past weekend. All the springtime vibes! If only we didn’t have snow in the forecast for tomorrow.

This piece includes gloss and matte gel medium, powdered graphite, gouache, acrylic, watercolor, ink, found paper, and spray fixative. I tried to take my time and just see what would happen by playing around the materials. One interesting thing that occurred was the way in which the spray fixative repelled watered-down gouache paint. I didn’t anticipate any particular result, so I was also testing my levels of patience and having the ability to let things go if I didn’t like the finished piece.
Pssst! I’m releasing a super-limited-edition, BIG print from my show “Joyride” tomorrow (3/22/14) at noon CST. Visit www.thejealouscurator.com/blog/2014/03/21/exclusive-jenni… for details!
My scanner is broken (how convenient), so I will finally be uploading this piece (“Storm Rolling In”) tomorrow at the studio. I still have that other 6 foot tall piece to wheat paste up somewhere (most likely the alley in Central Square bc I’m a baby), but I’m stoked to print out more of work to be HUGE.
